Data handling & your rights

Last updated: June 15, 2025

1. Information we collect

When you request a site assessment or contact our production team, we collect the details you provide through our forms: your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue location, and the specific services you are interested in. We also receive the content of your message or inquiry. Additionally, our website automatically collects technical data such as your browser type, device information, IP address, and pages visited, gathered through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

2. How we use your data

We process your personal information solely to respond to your inquiries, prepare detailed production plans, and manage the logistics of coastal events along the Garden Route and Cape Peninsula. This includes coordinating with local caterers, sound engineers, and permit authorities when necessary. Technical data helps us improve our website's performance and understand which event services are most relevant to our visitors. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies & analytics

Our site uses cookies to remember your preferences and to collect anonymised analytics about visitor behaviour. This helps us understand which pages are most useful and how visitors navigate our content. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies may affect certain functionality, but you will still be able to submit inquiries and access all core information.

4. Storage & third-party processors

Your data is stored securely on our hosting infrastructure and is accessible only to our production team. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who assist us with website hosting, email delivery, and form processing. These processors are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for any purpose other than providing services to us. We retain inquiry data for a period of 24 months, after which it is securely deleted.

5. Your rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections if any information is inaccurate, and request deletion of your data at any time. You may also object to or restrict certain processing activities, and you have the right to data portability. If you have given consent for a specific purpose, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. These rights apply in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and CCPA where relevant.

6. Transparency commitment

We are committed to honest and clear communication. We do not make misleading claims about our services, fabricate endorsements, or create false urgency. Any references to our capabilities are based on our actual experience producing coastal events. We do not imply affiliation with any government agency or official body. Our production plans are estimates based on the information you provide and site conditions; final outcomes may vary due to weather or other external factors.
